Public Works Asset Inventory & Inspection

One asset.
A connected
inspection record.

We help public works teams organize asset locations, capture consistent inspection information, and give office staff a clear view of what needs review.

Illustrative culvert crossing. The working example below uses public asset geometry.

The asset is on a map.
The inspection is
somewhere else.

When locations sit in GIS, observations sit in forms, and photographs sit in separate folders, staff have to reconstruct an asset’s history before they can act.

A field visit can produce useful information that is difficult to find later. Office staff need to know which asset was checked, what was observed, and whether follow-up has been reviewed.

How InfraSpatial Solutions helps

We organize the asset inventory, configure field forms linked to the right asset, and build an office view for reviewing submissions. Your team defines inspection standards, priorities and maintenance decisions.

Keep the asset ID connected
from field to office.

01 / Organize

Know which asset you are inspecting.

We bring locations and existing attributes together, check identifiers and agree the required fields. Uncertain locations or missing details stay visible for review.

You receive

A structured asset layer, field definitions and a list of gaps to resolve.

02 / Capture

Make the field record consistent.

We configure the agreed questions, required values and related inspection records. Where needed, we configure photos and offline workflows and test them on the intended devices.

You receive

A configured collection workflow and documented field testing. Inspection criteria are supplied or approved by your team.

03 / Review

Give the office a usable next step.

We connect submissions to a review map or dashboard. Staff can inspect the record, request clarification and route approved follow-up through the agreed maintenance process.

You receive

An office review view, agreed status definitions and operating instructions.

Working browser demonstration

Follow one culvert
through the workflow.

Choose a real public asset, add a sample observation, then review the linked record. This demonstrates the connection between steps.

Real inventory. Demonstration observations. The 210 asset locations and attributes come from a bounded King County public-data extract. Entries you make here are session-only examples. They are not submitted to the county or an Esri service.

1. Locate the asset

North ↑

Dots help locate short culvert segments. This is a location overview, not a field navigation map.

The public field-visit date is shown as source metadata. It does not establish an inspection result or current condition.

2. Add a sample observation

Demonstration only. Use sample text; do not enter personal or confidential information.

In a configured ArcGIS workflow

Field Maps or Survey123 can support the agreed collection process. Photo capture, authentication, synchronization and offline operation require configuration and testing; they are not provided by this browser example.

3. Office review

Review the record linked to the asset.

No demonstration records yet. Select an asset and add a sample observation above.

“Reviewed” records an example office decision. It does not certify asset condition, schedule work or indicate that maintenance has been completed. Refreshing the page clears all demonstration entries.

What your team receives.

An organized inventory

Asset locations and identifiers, agreed attributes and documented data gaps.

A field-to-office workflow

Collection forms, related records and a review view configured to your operating requirements.

A tested handover

Representative workflow tests, user guidance and clear responsibilities for maintaining the setup.

Public data, example limits and industry references

The demonstration does not represent a King County engagement by InfraSpatial Solutions. No inspection photos, condition scores, work orders or actual inspection findings were imported. Unknown attributes remain unknown.

Industry precedent: Cloudpoint’s work for Woodford County connects culvert inventories, mobile inspections and office views. This is another firm’s project, cited as context. Read the Esri case study.
